Abstract
The method of generation of dendritic cells from monocytes was adapted to clinical practice for immunotherapy of pancreatic cancer patients. The cultures of dendritic cells had typical immunophenotype, morphology, and functional properties. Pancreatic cancer cell lysates were used to prime dendritic cells. The method of priming dendritic cells by these antigens was adapted to clinical practice. It was established that primed DCs induced the activation and proliferation of antigen-specific clones of T-lymphocytes in vitro. The criteria of biosafety, quality control, and standardization of dendritic cell cultures, which include cell counts, the study of their morphology, immunophenotype and viability analysis, control microbial contamination, were determined.

Abstract
The influence of intravenous laser irradiation of blood (ILIB) with nicergoline on the pain severity, the lactate and piruvate plasma level and their ratio, the pro-, antioxidant system, substance P and noradrenalin concentrations, the vascular reactivity in patients with neuropathic pain due to diabetic polyneuropathy and neuropathic pain (NP) have been investigated. Visual analog scale (VAS) and Neuropathy Symptom Score (NSS) have been used to assess pain. The patients of the main group received basic therapy and ILIB by a semi-conductor laser at λ = 0.67 μm and a radiation power of 3.0 mW with an application time of 20 min and nicergoline (30 mg daily during one month). It has been established that the reduction of NP in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy in the main group was more evident than in patients in the control group. Combined treatment with ILIB led to the restriction of the lipid peroxidation reactions, the normalization of the substance P concentration, and the improvement of the endothelium vasoregulation function in patients with diabetic polyneuropathy and NP.

Abstract
The aim of this study was to determine the antiischemic and antiarrhythmic effects of the remote ischemic pre- and post-conditioning in rats with the toxic liver injury. It was found that the remote ischemic pre- and postconditioning equally protected the myocardium against the irreversible ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, unlike intact rats, the remote ischemic preconditioning did not protect the myocardium against arrhythmias in rats with the toxic liver injury.

Abstract
The aims of this study were to identify the root canal morphology of the first and second mandibular molars and to define the frequency of the distolingual roots of the first mandibular molars and the C-shaped roots and canals in the second mandibular molars. We collected 209 CBCT images of the first mandibular molars and 236 CBCT images of the second mandibular molars from 129 subjects. Most of the mandibular molars in this study (99 % of the first molars and 91.1 % of the second molars) had two separate roots. The frequency of the three-rooted first mandibular molars was 1 %. The C-shaped configuration of the root system was determined at 5.1 % of the second mandibular molars. Of 209 first mandibular molars examined, three canals were present in 84.6 %, four canals - in 12 %. In the two-rooted second mandibular molars, 79.7 % of cases had three canals and 14.4 % of cases had two canals. The distal root of mandibular molars showed predominantly the I Vertucci type, while the mesial root had more complex canal systems. In most of the cases, the mesial root of the first and second mandibular molars showed IV and II Vertucci types. Transversal anastomoses were detected in 21.6 % of the lower molars. 58 % of the accessory canals were detected in the apical third, 38 % - in the middle third, and 4 % - in the cervical third of the roots of the first and second mandibular molars.

Abstract
110 players at the age of 15-16 were the object of research. The research and the evaluation of the health status of young players, which had formed under the influence of the previous nutrition and genotypic characteristics due to individual metabolism (nutritional status), were carried out based on the results of the constitutional typing, the measurement of somato-metric, physiometrical, physiological, somatoscopic, biochemical indicators, the research of the state of the nonspecific immunological resistance of the organism, the psychophysiological testing, and the data of general physical fitness. The results obtained indicate a harmonious physical development and an optimal nutritional status, high functional and adaptive capabilities of the organism of young football players during intense exercise. Calcium and magnesium are the limiting substances in average daily diets of young football players. The level of physical development, physical fitness, physiometrical and hemody-namic parameters and the total bacterial count of the skin, urinary nitrogen coefficients of young athletes correlate with the body mass index, the value of basal metabolism and body fat mass. This gives grounds to consider specified parameters as integral and representative indicators of the nutritional status of athletes and to use them to monitor the dynamics of the health and functional status of players.

Abstract
The dependence of the expression of the early genes c-fos and c-jun in the myocardium of rats under different-origin stress on the thyroid status of the organism was established. The introduction of merkazolil (intragastrically at a dose of 25 mg/kg for 20 days), leading to the development of experimental hypothyroidism, increases the expression of the studied genes but eliminates the stress-induced increase in their mRNA level. The introduction of small doses of L-thyroxine (intragastrically 1.5-3.0 mg/kg for 28 days) does not affect the expression of c-fos and c-jun in the heart but provides its greater stimulation under the action of all studied stressors.

Abstract
In experiments on rats and rabbits it was established that the body temperature, the thyroid status, and the activity of de-toxication processes during overheating depend on the liver arginase activity and the valine level in blood serum. The decrease of the liver arginase activity has a significant role in the thyroid status formation and heat stability processes during overheating. The liver arginase activity, detoxication processes, and the body temperature is increasing in hyperthyroid rats but decreasing in hypothyroid ones. The liver arginase depression by L-valine in rats intensifies the decrease of the triiodothyronine level in blood serum during external heat effect and decreases the hyperthermia development and elevates the animals' survival at overheating. The blood urine level affects the activities of the L-arginin-NO-system and the liver arginase and the thermostability in rats during overheating. A preliminary intraperitoneal injection of a urine solution (300 mg/kg) evokes decrease in heat stability and probability of animals' survival in overheating conditions.

Abstract
Thyroid function parameters in the patients with well-differentiated thyroid cancer (WDTC) under levothyroxine suppressive therapy and in the control group have been investigated. It has been demonstrated that the TSH suppression level of less than 0.5 mlU/l in the young WDTC patients can be achieved at standard levothyroxine doses (median dose of about 2.6 ^g/ kg). In the patients with different TSH suppression levels (less than 0.1 mlU/l and between 0.1-0.5 mlU/l), elevated free thyroid hormone levels have been found at similar frequencies (18-19 % for FT4 and 8-12 % for FT3). The subjects with the deep TSH suppression (less than 0.1 mIU/l) had a lower serum cholesterol level as compared to those with moderately suppressed TSH; this may indicate an individual sensitivity to the levothyroxine treatment in such patients.

Abstract
Spectral-luminescent and antioxidant analyses of blood plasma of women with normal pregnancy and pregnancy complicated with pyelonephritis revealed significant differences in the investigated parameters (intrinsic fluorescence of proteins, SH-group level, ROS level, total antioxidant activity), which testifies to the possibility of using these indicators for developing the methods of oxidative stress assessment and express-methods of detection of this pregnancy failure.

Abstract
In experiments on Ehrlich's ascitic carcinoma cell culture in mice tumor-bearers, the cytotoxic action of heterocyclic compound PS 1603 (4-{3-[5-(n-tolyl)isoxazol-3-yl)ureido)butanoic acid, cisplatin and their combination on the mitogenic activity, the cell death (in vitro), the tumor mass, and the animals' lifetime (in vivo) has been studied. It has been established that PS 1603 has a minor (in vitro) and mild (in vivo) antitumoral effect. The combination of a heterocyclic compound and a chemo-therapeutic agent in a ten-fold reduced dose decreases the expressed effects of a cytostatic agent in concentrations close to clinical ones but does not intensify them.

Abstract
; the LT-4 median dose of 2.8 μg/kg). The serum total thyroxine level was more frequently elevated in women than in men (51.1 % vs. 29.2 %). An elevated free triiodothyronine level was observed more frequently in men, as compared to women (20.8 % vs. 7.8 %). The elevated FT3 levels and the FT4/FT3 ratio lower than 5 can be suggested as a reason to change a levothyroxine dose (i.e., its reduction) when the patient is not in the group for high risk of thyroid cancer recurrence and progression.

Abstract
As the morbidity of nasal liquorrhea with concurrent severe intracranial complications is growing yearly, nowadays the treatment of this disease is a crucial health care and social problem. The difficulties appear in disease diagnostics, in revealing liquorrhea causes, and in the proper localization of liquor fistula. Currently, several fundamental approaches to the surgical treatment of nasal liquorrhea considering the fistula localization are proposed. However at present time, there are no proper standardized indications how to use the transcranial and endoscopic surgical techniques and to how to treat such patients in the early post-operation period.

Abstract
The article outlines the principles of diffusion-weighted magnetic resonance imaging (DWI) and positron emission tomography (PET) and compares the potentialities of the both diagnostic techniques for early prediction of the effectiveness of treatment of lymphomas. In contrast to other tomographic methods such as computed tomography, ultrasonography and conventional magnetic resonance imaging, DWI and PET use unique pathophysiological characteristics of malignant tumors, namely, water molecule diffusion and glucose metabolism, which allows one to diagnose on a cellular level. Increasing evidence indicates the prognostic role of early PET in lymphoma. DWI is a new very promising method for early assessment and prediction of the effectiveness of treatment of lymphomas. Because of its non-irradiative, non-invasive nature and a lower cost it may become an alternative to PET in the future.
