Autologous transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells for regenerative restoration of articular cartilage injury (еxperimental research)
Abstract
Transplantation of mesenchymal stem cells (MSC) seems to be an effective method for cartilage lesion treatment. However, there is no common approach for selection of a stem cells source, a surgical method of transplantation, a MSC graft differentiation degree. An experiment by the developed method was performed on dogs. Grafts with different degree of differentiation were used. The results revealed that the chondrogenic differentiated MSCs graft allows regenerative recovery of cartilage injury to be achieved.
