Antiischemic and antiarrhythmic effects of remote ischemic pre- and postconditioning in rats with the toxic liver injury

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the antiischemic and antiarrhythmic effects of the remote ischemic pre- and post-conditioning in rats with the toxic liver injury. It was found that the remote ischemic pre- and postconditioning equally protected the myocardium against the irreversible ischemia-reperfusion injury. However, unlike intact rats, the remote ischemic preconditioning did not protect the myocardium against arrhythmias in rats with the toxic liver injury.
