Nephroprotective action of the combination of taurine with zinc diaspartate in rats with sublimate nephropathy

Full Text:

Abstract

In experiment on 32 outbred male rats, by the histochemical and biochemical methods it is established that the combination of taurine (20 g/mole - 2.50 g) with zinc diaspartate (1 g/mole - 0.35 g), which is entered into the stomach at a dose of 250 and 500 mg/kg/day everyday, has a nephroprotective dose-dependent action in rats with sublimate nephropathy (intraperitoneally; 0.1 mg/100 g/day, everyday - 14 dose). As evidenced by the activation of key inhibited SDG and AP in kidneys and the improvement of biochemical markers of nephrotoxicity in plasma (decrease in the content of creatinine, increase in its clearance) and urine (increase in the exretion of urea, creatinine, uric acid, polyuria reduction).
