<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The changes in the expression of the lipogenic Fasn and Sirt4 genes and the Fasn and Sirt4 proteins they encode in the visceral adipose tissue of Wistar rats against the background of excess fat intake were studied.</p><p>In addition to the standard vivarium diet, the rats received the animal fats (45 % of daily caloric value) for 8 weeks. A relative gene expression was determined by real-time PCR, protein content in the visceral adipose tissue - by the ELISA method.</p><p>It was found that the excess animal fat intake leads to a decreased expression of lipogenic Fasn and Sirt4 genes and the proteins they encode in the visceral adipose tissue of Wistar rats, which indicates the formation of the adipose tissue dysfunction, which may result in the impared lipid and carbohydrate metabolism, the insulin resistance development.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>ожирение</kwd><kwd>экспрессия генов</kwd><kwd>дисфункция жировой ткани</kwd><kwd>инсулинорезистентность</kwd><kwd>метаболические нарушения</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>obesity</kwd><kwd>gene expression</kwd><kwd>adipose tissue dysfunction</kwd><kwd>insulin resistance</kwd><kwd>metabolic disorders</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Хамнуева, Л.
