Испытуемые принимали мелатонин по 3 мг 1 раз в сутки в течение 2 мес. В результате применения данного препарата отмечалось снижение активности процессов перекисного окисления липидов и повышение уровня антиоксидантной защиты в плазме крови и эритроцитах после физической нагрузки, что способствовало уменьшению проявлений окислительного стресса и сохранению прооксидантно-антиоксидантного баланса организма.</p></abstract><trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>The influence of melatonin on the prooxidant–antioxidant balance in 18 to 21 year-old males with a low-level physical state at submaximal physical exertion is considered. The studied group took melatonin 3 mg once a day for 2 months. As a result of taking melatonin after physical exertion, there is a decrease in the activity of processes of peroxide oxidation of lipids and a high level of antioxidant protection in the blood plasma and erythrocytes, which diminishes the manifestations of the oxidative stress and maintains the prooxidant–antioxidant balance of an organism.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>физическая нагрузка</kwd><kwd> мелатонин</kwd><kwd> перекисное окисление липидов</kwd><kwd> антиоксиданты</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>physical exertion</kwd><kwd> melatonin</kwd><kwd> lipid peroxidation</kwd><kwd> antioxidants</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Fritz, K.
