Patients with MI and hyperglycemia (HG) were characterized by more severe systemic inflammation, hemostasis disturbances and changes in the hormonal state than patients without HG. This was associated with more severe MI progression and more prominent changes in structural and functional cardiovascular parameters. The changes in patient outcomes and homeostasis parameters have been revealed depending on the dynamics of glycemia in the acute period of MI.
