<trans-abstract xml:lang="en"><p>A brief review of the current publications is referred to the analysis of the molecular and genetic characteristics of Mycobacterium tuberculosis and the genetic factors of macroorganism that may influence the susceptibility/resistanceto tuberculosis and thus may affect the prevalence, manifestation, and outcome of tuberculosis. The genotype Beijing plays a key role in the spread of M. tuberculosis with multidrug resistance. Fifty eight percent of M. tuberculosis isolates collected from different regions of Belarus belonged to the genotype Beijing and had an identical MIRU VNTR profile. The resistance to anti-tuberculosis drugs in M. tuberculosis is formed due to mutations in the following genes: to isoniazid – in genes katG, inhA, acpM-kasA), to rifampin – in rpoB, to streptomycin – in rrs, rpsL, to ethambutol – in embB, to ethionamide – in inhA, to pyrazinamide – in pncA, to fluoroquinolones – in gyrA.</p></trans-abstract><kwd-group xml:lang="ru"><kwd>структура генома микобактерий туберкулеза</kwd><kwd>основные группы генов и их функции</kwd><kwd>генетические факторы макроорганизма</kwd><kwd>ассоциированные с резистентностью/восприимчивостью к туберкулезной инфекции</kwd><kwd>генетические варианты возбудителя туберкулеза</kwd><kwd>их географическое распространение</kwd><kwd>молекулярные механизмы резистентности</kwd><kwd>структура мутаций в генах</kwd><kwd>ассоциированных с лекарственной устойчивостью</kwd></kwd-group><kwd-group xml:lang="en"><kwd>genome structure of Mycobacterium tuberculosis</kwd><kwd>main groups of genes and their functions</kwd><kwd>macroorganism genetic factors associated with resistance/susceptibility to TB infection</kwd><kwd>genotypes of Mycobacterium tuberculosis</kwd><kwd>their geographical distribution</kwd><kwd>molecular mechanisms of resistance</kwd><kwd>structure of mutations in genes associated with drug resistance</kwd></kwd-group></article-meta></front><back><ref-list><title>References</title><ref id="cit1"><label>1</label><citation-alternatives><mixed-citation xml:lang="ru">Global tuberculosis report / WHO: World Health, 2015.</mixed-citation><mixed-citation xml:lang="en">(2015) Global tuberculosis report.
